East Region take top England Golf Award
.The England Golf East Region has been named Boys’ Region of the Year for 2024/25 after an outstanding season of performances at national and international level
The East Region covers Bedfordshire, Berks, Bucks & Oxon (BB&O), Essex, Hampshire (including the Isle of Wight and Channel Islands), Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex.
Essex golfer Toby Peters (Thorpe Hall GC) was one of the standout performers, representing England at both the European Team Championships and Home Internationals. Ben Sessions also featured in the Home Internationals and impressed at the Spanish Boys’ Championship.
The strength of the region was reflected in the England Golf Boys’ Order of Merit, with Peters finishing 1st and Sessions 3rd. Under the guidance of Chris Jenkins, Essex’s County Team Manager Paul Prebble, and Will Wayland, success was shared across the squad.
